SOLV Energy, Inc. is seeking a strategic Category Manager for Structural Components to lead sourcing, supplier relationships, and contract negotiations for trackers, foundations, steel, and related equipment.

You will partner with Engineering, Construction Operations, Fleet, and Finance to optimize total cost of ownership, ensure equipment availability, and support project execution across solar, HV, and BESS initiatives. Hybrid/remote options available with in-office presence in San Diego, CA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required.
• 5+ years in strategic sourcing, category management, procurement, or supplier management.
• Experience sourcing structural commodities, construction materials, or capital equipment.
• Proven success in complex negotiations and supplier agreements.
• Strong analytical and financial decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Experience in utility-scale solar, EPC, or infrastructure sectors is valued.

Responsabilités

• Develop and execute category strategies for structural components and construction equipment.
• Lead supplier market analysis, benchmarking, and category intelligence efforts.
• Define requirements with Engineering, Fleet, Operations, and Finance teams.
• Identify, qualify, and onboard new suppliers to support growth and resiliency.
• Analyze total cost of ownership and supplier capabilities during evaluations.
• Lead competitive RFPs/RFQs and negotiate terms and agreements.
• Develop Master Supply Agreements and other procurement contracts.
• Support project-specific procurement to align with schedules.
• Monitor market trends, capacity, and equipment availability.
• Drive supplier performance and lead quarterly business reviews.
