Job summary

SOLV Energy, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated Category Manager for Structural Components to lead sourcing and supplier management for trackers, foundations, steel components, and construction equipment used in utility-scale solar projects in the United States.

The role partners with Engineering, Construction Operations, Fleet, Project Management, and Finance to drive cost optimization, supplier selection, and strategic agreements that support project execution and long-term growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related discipline required.
• 5+ years in strategic sourcing, category management, procurement, or supplier management.
• Experience sourcing structural commodities, construction materials, industrial equipment, or capital equipment.
• Demonstrated success in complex commercial negotiations and supplier agreements.
• Strong analytical, financial, and decision-making skills.
• Experience managing cross-functional stakeholders and influencing executive decisions.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute category strategies for structural components and construction equipment.
• Lead supplier market analysis, benchmarking, and category intelligence to identify cost optimization opportunities.
• Partner with Engineering, Construction, Fleet, and Operations to define technical requirements and sourcing strategies.
• Identify, qualify, and onboard new suppliers to support growth and risk mitigation.
• Analyze total cost of ownership and supplier capabilities when evaluating options.
• Lead competitive RFPs, RFQs, and bid processes for materials and services.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, warranties, and service agreements; develop Master Supply Agreements and other contracts.
• Support project-specific procurement to align with schedules.
• Monitor market trends and technology impacting project execution.
• Manage supplier performance through QBRs and scorecards.
