Job summary

Breakthru Beverage Group seeks a Category Manager to lead category management strategies for key accounts, creating shelf schematics and analyzing brand trends. You will prepare computer-generated shelf layouts for Beer, Spirits, and Wine across outlets, and support sales with category insights and recommendations.

The role requires collaboration with regional leadership and retail partners to drive category performance, data maintenance, and storage of reference files.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent training/experience
• Minimum of 5 years in beverage alcohol and/or CPG
• Minimum of 3 years in Category Management in CPG
• Expert PC skills with MS Office and presentation software
• Experience with Excel, Access/Power Pivot, Power BI, JDA/Prospace
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
• Analytical and reporting capabilities
• Sound judgement and problem solving
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

• Develop and present Beer, Spirits, and Wine schematics to Key Independent and Chains accounts.
• Analyze brand trends and create shelf schematics.
• Create computer generated shelf schematics for new and existing outlets (floor layouts, endcaps, shelf segments, cold space, test concepts, total store planograms).
• Participate in benchmark planogram validation.
• Deliver consumer and shopper insights to support recommendations.
• Identify opportunities and propose category development strategies for customers.
• Engage with Sales Teams to identify category opportunities within accounts.
• Assist on sales calls to create category development proposals.
• Work with retailers to align with retailer strategy while meeting supplier objectives.
• Maintain data sources aligned with category management outputs.
• Own category analytics and supporting resources (Sales Scan, Nielsen/IRI, NABCA, etc.)
• Maintain master store lists, item lists, authorizations, store clusters.
