The Category Managerposition requires an experienced sourcing professional with a background innon-clinicalmaterials and services contracting with superior analytic and problem-solving skills supporting a fast-paced, transformation-oriented work environment.
The position requiresexperience incontractspend areas such as but not limited to,Facilities and Maintenance Operations (MRO), Construction and Capital Projects, Professional and Consulting Services, Human Resources, Financial Services, and Non-Clinical Capital Equipment.
This position will serve as the strategic business owner for assigned non-clinical spend categories and supplier relationships. The Category Manager will develop and execute category strategies that align organizationalobjectives, operational requirements, supplier market dynamics, and financial goals. Working collaboratively with business leaders across Facilities, Human Resources, Finance, Construction, and other operational departments, this individual will drive contractual compliance, supplier performance, risk mitigation, value realization, and continuous improvement across Montefiore’s non-clinical portfolio.The Category Manager willestablishand manage strategic supplier relationships,utilizingperformance metrics, business reviews, and market intelligence to improve service, reduce risk, and maximize value.
