Job summary

Sysco Columbia, LLC in the United States is seeking a Category Management professional to support corporate assortment strategies and drive local execution across OpCo. You will work with Sales, Supply Chain, and vendors to update product assortments and deliver training sessions.

The role focuses on optimizing category performance, negotiating with suppliers, and aligning with RevMan and corporate requirements. Travel up to 5% is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in education and experience
• 3+ years of experience in retail, wholesale or distribution
• Experience working within a retail, wholesale or distribution environment

Responsibilities

• Execute Category Management and other initiatives within assigned categories
• Manage and promote local assortment within assigned categories to achieve company goals
• Communicate with planners/suppliers/brokers/sales team/customer service
• Negotiate/secure supplier-funded customer deviated pricing
• Facilitate corporate assortment training at the OpCo as required
• Negotiate and manage local Earned Income programs
• Drive results on focus categories and support promotional activities and selling events
