Job summary

Advantage Solutions is seeking a Category Insights Analyst to serve as a key analytics resource for clients with <$20M+ in regional retail sales. You will accelerate information delivery, streamline reporting, and provide pricing recommendations to drive client development and Advantage growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; professional certification in category management is a plus.
• Less than 1 year experience in relevant field; consumer packaged goods experience preferred.
• Travel no travel required.
• Strong analytics, interpretive, and problem-solving skills with ability to turn data into actionable insights.
• Experience using data visualization tools and reporting applications.

Responsibilities

• Reporting: use various data sources to provide business insights and support regional objectives.
• Trade & Pricing: develop retail trade and promotional pricing analyses to aid campaigns.
• Marketplace Expertise: analyze trends and retailer activities to become SME for regional marketplace.
• Business Reviews: assist in the development of line reviews, business overviews, and selling stories.
• Collaborate on Merchandising: work with Space Management to create planograms that meet client objectives.
