Job summary

Global Partners LP is seeking an Associate Category Manager to own the P&L and end-to-end category strategy for assigned categories across the convenience store business. You will translate customer, market, financial, vendor, and store insights into plans that deliver sales, gross margin, and other targets.

In this role you will lead category pricing, promotions, assortment, and execution; manage vendor relationships; and drive store-level execution with cross-functional partners in Operations,

Responsibilities

• Own the category P&L and business results for assigned portfolio. Track sales, gross margin dollars and rate, units, transactions, market share where available, budget, and prior-year performance.
• Develop and refresh annual and longer-term category strategies with customer needs, market info, and financial performance.
• Translate category strategy into quarterly and in-season plans; adjust plans as needed.
• Monitor competitive activity and market data; summarize findings for category recommendations.
• Own assortment and item productivity; optimize the assortment and lead item launches and discontinuations.
• Lead pricing and promotions strategy, including vendor funding and post-event evaluation.
• Lead vendor relationships and business reviews; set expectations and pursue opportunities.
• Drive store execution with cross-functional partners on availability, signage, planograms, and pricing accuracy.
