Job summary

Princeton Search Partners seeks a Category Manager to turn shopper, category, and retailer data into growth opportunities at Walmart. This role supports category planning, assortment and merchandising decisions, and joint business planning, with a path toward broader Walmart account management responsibility.

Qualifications

• Grocery (Food & Beverage) industry knowledge.
• 5+ Walmart category analyst experience.
• BA in Business Administration preferred.
• Proven success using category & consumer insights/data with Walmart teams.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and storytelling skills.
• Self-starter and highly motivated; can work in different environments.

Responsibilities

• Analyze NielsenIQ, Circana/IRI, Walmart Retail Link, Luminate, and other data to identify category trends, risks, and opportunities.
• Develop clear recommendations for Walmart category reviews and joint business planning.
• Track competitive activity, pricing, promotions, assortment, distribution, and shelf positioning.
• Support sales forecasts, promotional analysis, trade spend planning, and post-event evaluations.
• Build dashboards and presentations that turn complex data into actionable recommendations.
• Partner with Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Insights teams to execute plans.
• Support the growth of the Walmart private label business in partnership with the Director of Private Label.
