Job summary

Senior Project Analyst, Category Development at E. & J. Gallo Winery in Nashville, TN, partners with sales and marketing to transform market data into category insights that drive growth. You’ll build scorecards, analyses, and plans to optimize wine and spirits assortments for assigned accounts.

You’ll lead cross-functional efforts, present recommendations to senior leadership, and mentor junior team members while advancing key initiatives across the business.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree plus 3 years of sales or category development experience with increasing responsibility.
• Bachelor’s degree plus 2 years of Gallo winery or distributor sales or category development experience.
• Associate’s degree plus 5 years of sales or category development experience.
• High school diploma plus 7 years of sales or category development experience.
• Strong data and data-tools proficiency: IRI, Nielsen, MS Access and other query tools.
• Computer skills: MS Word, MS PowerPoint and MS Excel.
• Liquor license required as per state/locality.
• Travel by air and car up to 5% of time; onboarding and meetings may require travel.
• Must be 18 years or older.

Responsibilities

• Create scorecards, market analyses, sales forecasts, merchandising strategies and Plan-O-Grams.
• Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership to influence product mix and in-store activities.
• Manage category development processes and project timelines.
• Improve analytical methods and reporting; guide junior team members and sales personnel.
• Collaborate across teams to solve business challenges and advance special projects.
