Job summary

AVP•SEES Group is seeking a clinically excellent cataract and anterior segment surgeon to join a referral-driven ophthalmology practice. The role emphasizes high-quality outcomes, sound surgical judgment, and collaboration with optometrists and medical colleagues.

Fellowship in cornea, glaucoma, or anterior segment is preferred but not required; clinical maturity and professionalism are key. Strong patient-centered care and leadership within the team are expected.

Qualifications

• MD/DO degree from an accredited institution.
• Completion of an accredited Ophthalmology Residency program.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Ophthalmology.
• Active Tennessee medical license, or ability to obtain licensure prior to start date.
• DEA registration and unrestricted authority to prescribe medications.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-volume cataract surgery and anterior segment procedures.
• Provide comprehensive anterior segment surgical care and manage coexisting ocular disease.
• Apply evidence-based surgical techniques and adopt advancing technologies.
• Maintain high standards of clinical excellence and surgical integrity.
• Communicate clearly with patients, optometrists, and referring physicians.
