Job summary

AVP•SEES Group is seeking a clinically excellent cataract and anterior segment surgeon to join a referral-driven ophthalmology practice in Tennessee. The role emphasizes high-quality outcomes, sound surgical judgment, and collaboration with optometrists and medical colleagues.

Fellowship in cornea, glaucoma, or anterior segment is preferred but not required. You will provide advanced anterior segment care, participate in community outreach, and support multidisciplinary patient-centered care

Qualifications

  • MD or DO degree from an accredited institution.
  • Completion of an Ophthalmology Residency program.
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Ophthalmology.
  • Active Tennessee medical license or ability to obtain before start date.
  • DEA registration and authority to prescribe medications.
  • Demonstrated expertise in diagnosis and treatment of ophthalmic diseases.
  • Strong clinical and surgical judgment with a patient-centered approach.
  • Ability to collaborate with optometrists, ophthalmologists, surgeons, and teams.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive anterior segment surgical care, including high-volume cataract and MIGS.
  • Manage patients with glaucoma and ocular surface disease.
  • Apply evidence-based surgical techniques with advancing technologies.
  • Collaborate with referring optometrists and physicians for coordinated care.
  • Participate in community engagement, education, and local professional activities.
