Job summary

Johnson Matthey in Devon, PA, is seeking a Catalytic Testing Engineer for the third shift to support lab testing, KPI reporting, and process improvement. You will collaborate with Lab leadership and development teams to plan and execute projects, prioritize risk assessment, and ensure safe, efficient operation of test programs.

The role requires strong analytical testing experience, proficiency in Excel, and ideally Power BI, with excellent communication and team collaboration skills.

Qualifications

• Technical degree desirable.
• Analytical testing experience.
• Catalyst performance testing desirable.
• Proficient with Excel.
• Knowledge of Power BI desirable.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with Lab Manager, SCAT Lab Supervisor, Lab Team Leads, and Development teams in definition, planning and execution of projects to improve laboratories’ capability and OEE.
• Prioritizes process and occupational risk assessment of procurement and use of new instrumentation and procedures.
• Supports testing activities as required by business demands.
• Provides technical resource and assistance to SCAT analysts.
• Defines and reports KPIs for project completion and communicates progress to stakeholders.
• Uses lean processes with daily meetings to monitor safety, schedule, 5S and quality.
• Proactively manages safety, housekeeping, equipment capability and inventories.
• Monitors testing quality and drives continuous improvement.
