Job summary

Johnson Matthey Plc is seeking a Catalytic Testing Engineer to drive lab improvements and support SCAT analysts on high‑priority testing projects. The role emphasizes safety, quality, and cross‑functional collaboration.

The position is on 3rd shift (Sunday–Thursday) with hybrid working options and a comprehensive benefits package. Applicants should have analytical testing experience and strong Excel skills; Power BI experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Technical degree in a related field is desirable.
• Experience with analytical testing and catalyst performance testing is preferred.
• Strong computer literacy with Excel; experience with Power BI is desirable.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; good time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with Lab Manager, SCAT Lab Supervisor, Lab Team Leads and Development teams to define, plan and execute projects improving lab capability and OEE.
• Prioritizes process and occupational risk assessment of procurement and use of new instrumentation and procedures.
• Supports testing activities as required by business demands.
• Provides technical resource and assistance to SCAT analysts.
• Defines and reports KPI related to project completion and escalates delays to stakeholders and senior management.
• Uses lean processes with daily stand-ups to monitor safety, schedule, 5S and quality.
• Monitors safety, housekeeping and equipment capability; drives continuous improvement.
