Job summary

USA DeBusk in Salt Lake City, UT, is seeking a field technician for work in oxygen, fertilizer, and petrochemical plants requiring confined space entry. The role involves hands-on maintenance, catalyst handling, and safety-focused operations in challenging environments.

You will support installation, sampling, equipment setup, and cleanup, with emphasis on following safety procedures, wearing PPE, and abiding by site rules.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or desirable; safety training completed.
• 1 year in petrochemical industry; 5 years catalyst work preferred.
• Must obtain TWIC card or have access to one; follow safety rules and procedures.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks and operate tools safely.

Responsibilities

• Vacuum catalyst or materials, spread and load catalyst; load materials to outside of reactor.
• Dismantle and/or install reactor hardware items.
• Clean/wipe/wash/scrape reactor or enclosure areas.
• Take samples of catalysts or materials.
• Video-tape specified areas of concern.
• Assist in removal or replacement of items from/into reactor.
• Set up/dismantle unloading/reloading equipment and PPE measures.
• Perform maintenance on equipment under supervision; maintain safety practices.
• Promote safety and professional conduct on site; provide ground support.
• Inspect PPE/equipment; report deficiencies to supervisor.
• Follow written/verbal instructions; comply with regulations.
• Wear PPE as prescribed; maintain clean work area and tools.
• Complete paperwork associated with work performed.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
