Job summary

The Chemical Cleaning Technician will perform a wide range of physical activities related to handling, positioning, moving, and manipulating equipment and materials, including emergency response and handling chemicals.

Qualifications

• Must pass hair follicle and urine drug screen.
• Must be able to travel for extended periods of time.
• Must have valid driver’s license or identification card.
• Respond to emergency calls 24 hours, 7 days a week if called upon.
• Employment is contingent upon verification of identity and employment eligibility (Form I-9).
• General labor experience is a plus.
• Experience in chemical cleaning chemistry is a plus.
• CDL is a plus (Class A preferred).

Responsibilities

• Operate and set-up all necessary cleaning equipment such as low-pressure, high-volume pumps and circulators in accordance with procedures.
• Adhere to all safety policies and practices, including personal protective gear.
• Ability to work safely around heavy machinery in loud industrial settings.
• Install, fit, repair valves, caps, hoses, pumps, gaskets, and other equipment.
• Inspect equipment and report deficiencies to supervisor before starting any job.

Education

High School diploma or equivalent

Summary/Objective:

The Chemical Cleaning Technician will perform a wide range of physical activities that require strength and flexibility of whole body for handling, positioning, moving, and manipulating equipment and materials, emergency response, and handling chemicals.

Responsibilities:

May include, but are not limited to, the following

• Operate and set-up all necessary cleaning equipment such as low-pressure, high-volume pumps and circulators in accordance with operational, training, guidelines, and safety procedures.
• Adhere to all safety policies and practices, including but not limited to personal protective gear.
• Ability to work safely in and around heavy machinery in loud, hazardous, and heaving industrial settings.
• Install, fit, repair valves, caps, hoses, pumps, gaskets, and all other external and internal equipment.
• Assist in the inspection of equipment, hoses, connections, chemical circulators, and general work area prior to starting any job. Informs supervisor of deficiencies, which may cause accidents, injuries, or loss
