Job summary

Axens North America is seeking a Technology Engineer (Reforming) to join the Americas ROC in Houston. You will provide technical know-how for reforming technologies and support catalyst and process licensing activities.

This role emphasizes field- and office-based tasks, collaboration with clients and internal teams, and ensuring safe, efficient startup, operation, and optimization of units.

Qualifications

• BS/MS/PhD in Chemical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, or relevant discipline required.
• 4+ years in petrochemical or refining industry.
• Fundamentals in chemical engineering incl. reaction engineering and catalysts.
• Experience with PRO/II or similar; Excel-based modelling tools preferred.
• Basic process design, project engineering or economics a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develops and provides technical know-how for technologies of specialization.
• Performs day-to-day technology and services tasks with supervision as needed.
• Develops and presents technical projections for replacement of catalysts in existing units.
• Supports development and follow-up of technical proposals and studies for client evaluations.
• Provides after-sales technical service to Axens clients, ensuring optimized catalyst loads and safe commissioning.
• Participates in client training and promotion of Axens products and services.
• Complies with Axens quality system and ISO standards.
