Clariant Corporation in The Woodlands, TX, is hiring a Senior Applied Catalyst Technology Engineer to deliver technical service for the Americas. You will evaluate catalyst performance, propose optimizations, and support sales with technical proposals and onsite services.

This role requires strong chemical engineering expertise, 8+ years in related fields, and flexibility to travel. Collaboration with R&D, Production, and Sales is essential to improve catalyst applications and solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in chemical plant process engineering or catalyst service.
• Strong technical problem-solving with ability to translate findings into practical recommendations.
• Flexibility to travel and support customers with changing schedules.

Responsibilities

• Manage the complete technical service process throughout the sales cycle with Sales.
• Plan and perform onsite technical services for catalyst applications, including loading and startup support.
• Conduct catalyst performance evaluations and predictions using design programs and digital tools.
• Evaluate operating conditions and recommend optimization strategies to max catalyst performance.
• Manage technical interactions with customers and communicate feedback to internal teams.
• Collaborate with Technology Advisors, Production, R&D, Sales, and Product Management to improve value proposition.
• Contribute to development of technical guidelines, manuals, data, case studies, and tools.
• Support knowledge development and aid recruiting and training of new engineers and sales accounts.
