Job summary

Axens Americas ROC is seeking a Technology Engineer (Adsorbents & Claus, Field Services) in Houston, TX. The role provides technology support for adsorbent-based purification and Claus technologies, delivering after-sales field assistance through on-site visits and remote support.

Primary duties include developing technical know-how, supporting proposals, and ensuring quality and safety through ISO standards while traveling up to 30% as needed. Fluency in Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• BS, MS, or PhD in Chemical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, or relevant discipline.
• 3+ years in gas, petrochemical or refining with catalysis/adsorption experience.
• Field experience including commissioning/startup activities.
• Knowledge of reaction engineering and catalyst chemistry.
• Experience with PRO/II or similar; Excel-based modeling tools.
• Willingness to travel up to 30% domestically or internationally.
• Spanish fluency a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develops and provides technical know-how for the technologies of specialization.
• Performs direct day-to-day technology and technical services tasks with supervision.
• Develops projections for replacement of catalysts and adsorbents in existing units.
• Participates in development and follow-up of technical proposals and studies for client evaluation.
• Supports Commercial team in development of commercial proposals.
• Provides after sales technical service including remote support and field visits.
• Builds long-term relationships with clients and showcases Axens’ expertise.
• Supports after-sales field activities across technologies with on-site troubleshooting and startup support.
• Participates in training sessions with clients and Axens team members.
• Promotes products, technologies and services with external parties.
