Job summary

Johnson Matthey in Smithfield, PA is seeking a Production Process Control Engineer to help drive our transition to net-zero through smarter catalyst coating operations and process control across shifts.

You will set up, monitor and troubleshoot coating processes, optimize parameters to improve efficiency, reduce waste and downtime, and train colleagues on new procedures while ensuring health, safety and environmental compliance.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, preferably Chemical Engineering.
Experience in manufacturing or process engineering environment.
Strong understanding of process optimization and continuous improvement.
Knowledge of health, safety and environmental compliance in industry.
Ability to train, coach and collaborate in shift-based teams.
Proficiency with Windows and Office applications.

Responsibilities

Set up, monitor and troubleshoot PGM and non-PGM diesel catalyst coating processes during shifts.
Optimize process parameters to improve efficiency, reduce waste, minimize rejects and downtime.
Ensure products meet customer and quality specifications through process control.
Develop procedures and train colleagues on new technologies.
Collect and report operational, safety and process data including shift summaries.
Champion health, safety and environmental compliance in line with JM Life Saving Policies.
