Johnson Matthey Plc is seeking a Production Process Control Engineer in Smithfield, PA. You will lead catalyst coating processes, optimize parameters, and ensure quality and safety while supporting new technologies and shift-based teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline (preferably Chemical Engineering).
• Experience working in a manufacturing or process engineering environment.
• Strong understanding of process optimization, troubleshooting and continuous improvement.
• Working knowledge of health, safety and environmental compliance in an industrial setting.

Responsibilities

• Setting up, monitoring and troubleshooting PGM and non-PGM diesel catalyst coating processes during assigned shifts.
• Optimizing process parameters to improve efficiency, reduce waste, minimize rejects and limit downtime.
• Ensuring products consistently meet customer and quality specifications through effective process control.
• Supporting the introduction of new technologies by developing procedures and training colleagues.
• Collecting and reporting operational, safety and process data including shift summaries and incident reports.
• Championing health, safety and environmental compliance in line with JM Life Saving Policies.

The role:

As a Production Process Control Engineer you will help drive our goals by:
