Job summary

Johnson Matthey in Smithfield, PA is seeking a Production Process Control Engineer to set up, monitor and optimize diesel catalyst coating processes across shifts. You will drive efficiency, reduce waste and limit downtime while ensuring products meet quality specs through robust process control.

You will collect data, report on safety and process performance, and support the introduction of new technologies by developing procedures and training colleagues in a compliant, collaborative team

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline, preferably Chemical Engineering.
• Experience in a manufacturing or process engineering environment.
• Strong understanding of process optimization and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of health, safety and environmental compliance in industry.
• Ability to train, coach and collaborate within shift-based teams.
• Proficiency with Windows and Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Set up, monitor and troubleshoot PGM and non-PGM diesel catalyst coating processes on shift.
• Optimize process parameters to improve efficiency, reduce waste and downtime.
• Ensure products meet customer and quality specs through robust process control.
• Support introduction of new technologies by developing procedures and training peers.
• Collect and report operational, safety and process data including shift summaries.
