Job summary

Qualifications

• Master's degree in library science from an ALA-accredited institution.
• 3–5 years of experience with digital library systems; TLC database preferred.
• Valid Virginia driver's license and acceptable driving record.
• Flexibility to work nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Performs original and copy cataloging for library materials in all formats.
• Evaluates and improves cataloging procedures and workflows.
• Collaborates across Technical Services, Collection Development, and public service staff.
• Assists with physical processing, maintenance, and repair of materials.
• Analyzes system reports and resolves bibliographic record discrepancies.
• Compiles and reports statistical data using library systems.
• Manages interlibrary loan (ILL) using OCLC WorldShare.
• Represents the library in TLC User Group and communicates updates to leadership.
• Participates in planning and library-wide projects; supports outreach events.
• Stays current with cataloging standards and metadata trends.
