Job summary

Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking a CT Scan Technologist to perform CT scans ordered by physicians at multiple Illinois locations. Responsibilities include obtaining patient history, explaining procedures, and addressing questions while performing a range of specialized CT tasks.

This contract/full-time opportunity may involve travel to Crestwood, Mount Vernon, or Marion, IL. The ideal candidate holds an ARRT certification (if required by state rules), has a high school diploma, and meets

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• One (1) year of experience as a CT Technologist preferred.
• A.R.R.T. (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) Certification, if required by state regulations or contract specifications
• Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice
• Current CPR if applicable
• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
• Must be at least 18 years of age

Responsibilities

• The CT Scan Technologist produces CT scans ordered by a physician and obtains patient history.
• Explains standard procedures and addresses patient concerns.
• Performs a variety of specialized tasks involved in the performance of CT scans.

Job description

The CT Scan Technologist produces computerized tomographic scanner radiographs of specific areas as ordered by a physician. These cross-sectional images provide detailed information about soft tissues, blood vessels, and bones, which are essential for accurate diagnostics. The CT Scan Technologist obtains patient history, explains standard procedures, and addresses patient concerns. The CT Technologist also performs a variety of specialized tasks involved in the performance of CT scans.
