Job description

The CT Scan Technologist plays a critical role in the healthcare team by performing computed tomography (CT) imaging procedures that assist physicians in diagnosing and treating medical conditions. This position requires the technologist to operate advanced CT scanning equipment to capture detailed cross-sectional images of patients’ internal structures with precision and care. The technologist must ensure patient safety and comfort throughout the imaging process, adhering strictly to radiation safety protocols and clinical guidelines. Additionally, the role involves preparing patients for scans, explaining procedures clearly, and collaborating with radiologists to ensure high-quality diagnostic images. Ultimately, the CT Scan Technologist contributes to accurate diagnosis and effective patient care by delivering reliable imaging results in a timely and professional manner.

Shift: 7 on/7off

Minimum Qualifications
  • Completion of an accredited radiologic technology program with a focus on computed tomography.
  • Valid state licensure to practice as a radiologic technologist where applicable.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of CT imaging protocols, radiation safety, and patient care standards.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare team members.
  • Basic life support (BLS) certification or must obtain within 30 days of hire.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certification as a CT Technologist by a recognized credentialing body such as the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Experience working in a hospital or clinical setting performing CT imaging procedures.
  • Additional certifications in advanced imaging techniques or specialties.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and imaging software.
  • Ability to assist in training or mentoring junior technologists or students.
