Job summary

CAT Scale Company is seeking an innovative Scale Technician to join our field team. You will travel in the United States and Canada to install and open new CAT Scales across our 2,300+ network, while spending most time at our Iowa headquarters for project work and support.

This role emphasizes customer service, problem-solving, and teamwork. You will lead installation projects, work with crews and customers, and train under experienced staff.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service, technical, and computer skills.
• Construction/electrical experience is a plus.
• Previous electronic troubleshooting experience.
• Able to perform with limited supervision.
• Computer networking skills are a plus!
• Ability to provide own set of tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead scale installations and major overhaul projects.
• Provide on-site and help desk support.
• Install new CAT Scales across the U.S. and Canada.
• Collaborate with crews, foremen, maintenance staff, subcontractors, and customers.
• Travel for installations and site work while maintaining strong customer service.

CAT Scale Company is hiring an innovative and goal-oriented Scale Technician to join our team. Travel both in the United States and Canada, installing and opening new truck scales in our 2,300+ CAT Scale network! Our Scale Technicians are on the road for an average of 1 week a month, installing a brand-new, state-of-the-art CAT Scale. For the other 3 weeks, you'll work in Walcott, Iowa, at CAT Scale Headquarters.

This role is 75% customer service in the office, on the phone at our help desk.

As a Scale Technician, you will work with and learn from various people, including crew members, foremen, maintenance crews, subcontractors, and customers. You will also lead scale installations and major overhaul projects.
