Job summary

The Field Technician will perform commissioning, diagnostics, and preventive maintenance across various sites, ensuring reliability and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical certification or associate degree preferred.
• 3+ years in maintenance/repair of power generators (50 kW–3000 kW).
• Strong CAT generator systems knowledge including diesel and gas engines.

Responsibilities

• Perform commissioning, maintenance, and repair of CAT power generators up to 3000 kW (natural gas, biogas, diesel).
• Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance for reliability.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues.
• Perform load bank testing and other diagnostics.
• Maintain records of service activities and parts inventory.
• Provide technical support to customers regarding operation and maintenance.
