Davies is looking for an experienced Liability Loss Adjuster to join our Casualty team. You will be valued and supported, liaising with insurers and policyholders, investigating claims, and compiling evidence for preliminary reports.

This home-based role covers caseloads in the North East of England, with travel within the area as required. We provide training, development and benefits including pension, discounts, and wellbeing support.

Qualifications

• Experience in casualty loss adjusting or investigation is desirable but not essential.
• Willingness to travel within the North East region as required.

Responsabilités

• Liaise with insurers, policyholders and brokers.
• Investigate allocated claims in the field or from the desk.
• Compile evidence and relevant documentation.
• Prepare preliminary reports detailing available evidence.
• Assess policy indemnity, legal liability and quantum.
• Determine appropriate action for resolution of the case.
• Defend or negotiate settlements within authority.
• Correspond with all parties to progress cases to conclusion.
• Maintain reserves by regular review and adhere to procedures.

Davies are looking to recruit an experienced Liability Loss Adjuster to join our growing Casualty team.At Davies, we value transferable skills and qualities that focus on what you can bring to the role. While industry experience is a benefit, it is not essential as we will provide you with full training and support when you start with us.

What will your day look like:

• Liaison with Insurers, Policyholders and Brokers
• Investigation of allocated claims in the field or from the desk
• Compilation of all necessary evidence and relevant documentation
• Preparation of Preliminary Reports detailing the evidence available and commenting upon
• Policy Indemnity, Legal Liability, Quantum, and Tactics
• Determine appropriate action for resolution of the case
• Defend or negotiate settlement where appropriate, within agreed authority limits
• Correspond with all parties professionally to proactively progress the case to conclusion
• Investigate and handle all cases in accordance with the client’s requirements by referral to documented procedures at all times
• Maintain a proper reserve at all times by regular review
• Keep updated on any technical changes relevant to your role including participating in training programmes facilitated by the company
• All Staff are expected to carry out any reasonable instruction given by their line manager, in line with business requirements

Knowledge and Abilities:

• The role would suit either a Casualty Adjuster/investigator seeking a fresh challenge and who is ambitious and can demonstrate an ability to develop the skills and knowledge needed.
• This role is Home Based covering caseloads in the North East of England therefore travel in this area is necessary.
