Davies is seeking an experienced Loss Adjuster to join our growing Casualty team. The role covers the South East region, with travel to Milton Keynes, M25, Watford and surrounding areas.

You will investigate claims in the field or from the desk, liaise with insurers and policyholders, and prepare comprehensive reports. The ideal candidate has extensive casualty loss adjustment experience, strong insurance knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Experience as Loss Adjuster in casualty claims.
• Strong knowledge of insurance markets and legal principles.
• Familiarity with Civil procedure Rules and the Claims Portal.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work in teams and manage workload.

Responsabilités

• Liaise with insurers, policyholders and brokers.
• Investigate allocated claims in field or desk.
• Compile evidence and documentation for files.
• Prepare preliminary reports with findings and recommendations.
• Determine appropriate action for claim resolution.
• Defend or negotiate settlements within authority.
• Communicate with all parties to drive case to conclusion.
• Maintain reserves and stay updated on technical changes.

Davies are looking to recruit an experienced Loss Adjuster to join our growing Casualty team. At Davies, we value transferable skills and qualities that focus on what you can bring to the role. The role would suit an experienced Casualty Adjuster/investigator seeking a fresh challenge.

This role is field-based covering caseloads in the South East, in particular the M1 corridor, Milton Keynes, M25 and Watford, therefore travel in this area is necessary.

Key Responsibilities

• Liaison with Insurers, Policyholders and Brokers
• Investigation of allocated claims in the field or from the desk
• Compilation of all necessary evidence and relevant documentation
• Preparation of Preliminary Reports detailing the evidence available and commenting upon
• Policy Indemnity, Legal Liability, Quantum, and Tactics
• Determine appropriate action for resolution of the case
• Defend or negotiate settlement where appropriate, within agreed authority limits
• Correspond with all parties professionally to proactively progress the case to conclusion
• Investigate and handle all cases in accordance with the client’s requirements by referral to documented procedures at all times
• Maintain a proper reserve at all times by regular review
• Keep updated on any technical changes relevant to your role including participating in training programmes facilitated by the company
• All Staff are expected to carry out any reasonable instruction given by their line manager, in line with business requirements.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

• Previous Loss Adjuster experience
• Experience of investigating and handling Casualty Claims
• Knowledge of insurance and the insurance market
• Knowledge of legal principles, regulations, Acts and the like
• Knowledge of Civil procedure Rules and the Claims Portal
• Good communications skills at all levels
• Excellent customer service
• The ability to work as part of a team
• Good planning and organisational skills
• Take responsibility for your own workload
• Must be able to demonstrate adaptability and flexibility
• Strong IT Skills
• A full drivers licence is essential
