Job summary

This casual position involves 36 hours over six weeks with weekend requirements and variable starting pay based on experience. The nurse will apply the nursing process, support family-centered care, and participate in department quality initiatives while guiding patients through the care continuum.

Qualifications

• Must be a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Experience in orthopedics/medical-surgical settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains productive working relationships with patients, families and colleagues, ensuring safe, quality care.
• Delivers nursing care within the framework of Relationship Based Care and plans daily goals with consideration of patient needs.
• Participates in quality improvement efforts and promotes patient safety, satisfaction and outcomes.
• Provides teaching to patients, families and new staff to support transition of care and healthy practices.
