Job summary

Interim HealthCare of the Twin Cities is seeking a Casual Licensed Home Care Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to provide in-home care. The role offers independence, flexible days, and travel within Roseville, MN and surrounding counties.

You will work under a physical therapist to improve patients’ function in their home environment. The position requires MN PTA licensure, 2 years PTA experience, CPR/BLS, valid driver's license, and ability to travel.

Qualifications

• Minnesota PTA license active and in good standing.
• Two years of PTA experience.
• Must be able to travel within the service area; valid driver’s license, reliable transport, proof of auto insurance.
• CPR/BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide PTA services under the direction of a licensed physical therapist.
• Participate in interdisciplinary patient assessments.
• Administer treatments and document progress per plan of care.
• Educate patients and families to support goals and needs.
• Complete timely and accurate documentation.

Hours: Casual - Days

This position will work in the field helping patients in their home setting. The office is in Roseville, MN and the service area is the 11 counties of Twin Cities Metro Area.

Pay and Benefits:

• Hourly Pay Range: $31.40 - $37.44

A few must-haves for this position:

• Currently licensed as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the State of Minnesota. License is active and in good standing.
• Two (2) years of experience as a PTA.
• Able to travel within geographic area serviced by the office. Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of auto insurance.
• CPR/BLS Certification

Here are some functions of what you would do as a Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant:

• Provide services for treating impairments, functional limitations, disabilities or changes in physical function under the direction and supervision of a qualified physical therapist.
• Participates in ongoing interdisciplinary assessment of the patient.
• Provides services that are ordered by the physician as indicated in the plan of care.
• Completes and submits timely, legible, accurate, relevant and sufficient documentation addressing the treatment and interventions provided, the patient’s response to the treatment and interventions, and the patient’s progress toward goals in accordance with professional standards of practice, policy and procedures, and payer requirements.
• Counsels and educates the patient and the family, and other caregivers to promote patient progress toward mutually established goals and in meeting healthcare related needs.
