Job summary

UPMC Hanover is seeking a Casual/Pier Diem Physical Therapist to join our rehabilitation team, working with the acute inpatient population. The role emphasizes initial assessments, treatment plans, and patient education to improve function and mobility. The position requires licensure in the state, CPR/BLS, and a graduate of an APTA-approved program.

Schedule includes one weekend per month from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with opportunities to pick up additional shifts and participate in staff

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited program approved by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA).
• Active PT licensure in the practicing state.
• CPR/BLS certification as required by the organization.

Responsibilities

• Communicates patient's status to the referring physician and health care team.
• Performs initial assessments, develops treatment plans and administers PT modalities.
• Supervises PTAs and adjusts plans of care as patient status changes.
• Maintains documentation for assessments, visits and discharge planning.
• Attends staff meetings and fulfills licensure/continuing education requirements.
• Schedules patients to meet productivity standards while ensuring quality care.
