Job summary

UPMC Carlisle is seeking a Per Diem/Casual Occupational Therapist to support the inpatient rehab facility and acute hospital settings. Schedule: 16 hours per month with weekend shifts 7:00 am - 3:30 pm, no holidays; opportunities to pick up extra hours.

The OT will perform assessments and treatments, coordinate with the health care team, and contribute to research activities within the Rehabilitation Institute. License and CPR/BLS requirements apply.

Qualifications

• Active clinical documentation for OT services.
• Strong written and verbal communication with health care team.
• Ability to supervise students during internships.

Responsibilities

• Perform occupational therapy assessments and treatments for patients across pediatric to geriatric ages.
• Prepare plan of care with goals based on physician referral.
• Co-sign OT assistant documentation biweekly.
• Maintain licensure and continuing education requirements.
• Provide patient and family education and home instructions when applicable.
