Job summary

Labcorp in Matthews, NC is seeking a Casual Phlebotomist to join our patient-focused team. You will perform venipuncture and capillary draws across age groups, maintain patient records, and ensure accurate specimen handling.

The role offers a flexible schedule with a Monday–Friday window and rotating weekends, providing opportunities for growth within Labcorp. A phlebotomy certification or training is preferred, with strong customer service and communication skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all ages.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Enter patient information accurately in the system.
• Process billing information and collect payments as needed.
• Prepare specimens for testing and analysis; maintain logs.
