Qualifications

• Advanced training beyond High School that includes the completion of an accredited or approved Radiologic Technology program.
• No experience required.
• Knowledge of cross sectional anatomy and magnetic safety.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work with physicians, patients and staff.

Responsibilities

• Operates MRI equipment for basic and intermediate diagnostic procedures (musculoskeletal, neurological, body imaging).
• Obtains patient history and ensures exam accuracy; administers contrast under Radiologist supervision.
• Positions patient, selects scanning factors and ensures image quality and safety.
• Post-processes images and labels images with patient identifiers and location.
• Maintains records and documents billing codes; inputs data into radiology information system.
