Perform imaging procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision. Competently execute a variety of technical procedures that require independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative for diagnostic purposes.

The final candidate will be placed in the appropriate job title and salary structure based on experience, certification, and skill.

Responsibilities:

1. Maintain clinical competency for all exams and equipment.
2. Identify all patients properly using two patient identifiers and utilize universal protocol when performing procedures. Review patient history and assess physician orders, applying departmental protocols for optimal results, including labeling, preparation, and administration of contrast. Document patient history in electronic records as required.
3. Read and present all relevant information to the physician based on protocol prior to the start of the exam.
4. Ensure all exams within responsibility are properly coded and tracked through RIS system; update and document all patient information; ensure exams are networked to ISITE for archiving and interpretation; and accurately enter charges for performed exams.
5. Practice and maintain MR safety protocols within the department.
6. Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills with patients and co-workers, displaying care, listening, dignity, and respect. Work effectively as part of a team to expedite patient care.
7. Perform procedures for reviewing, processing, and archiving data.
8. Communicate instructions clearly to patients, explain procedures to allay fears, and solicit cooperation.
9. Graduate of an ARRT-approved school of Radiologic Technology, or completion of an accredited CNMT, ARMRIT, or ARDMS program.

Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:

• Obtain MR registry within 18 months of hire.
• CPR or BLS certification required.
• Certificates: ARRT, ARMRIT, NMTC, or ARDMS.
• Act 31, Act 33, Act 34, Act 73 FBI Clearances.
