ChristianaCare Multispecialty Practices at Elkton is seeking a professional, dependable, detail-oriented Medical Assistant I with strong communication, integrity, and solid technical and clinical skills. The role supports physicians in virtual and on-site patient care across multiple specialties, including Cardiology, Endocrinology, ENT, General Surgery, Rheumatology, and Urology.

Typical schedule is Monday–Friday 8:00am–4:30pm with one 8-hour shift weekly; on-site and virtual duties, EMR

Formación

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of a recognized Medical Assistant Program or hold current Medical Assistant Certification by a national organization accredited by NCCA or ANSI.

Responsabilidades

• Greet and support patients virtually and in person.
• Prepare patients for visits and assist with exams.
• Perform basic clinical tasks (testing, injections, EKGs).
• Maintain exam rooms and equipment.
• Manage EMR updates, patient communications, referrals, and scheduling.
• Handle clerical duties and troubleshoot video visits; support patient portal access.

As a Medical Assistant I, you support physicians in virtual and on-site patient care, performing essential clinical and clerical duties to ensure quality care.

Work Schedule:

• Monday through Friday: 8am to 4:30pm

Duties / Responsibilities:

The Medical Assistant I greets and supports patients virtually and in person, prepares them for visits, performs basic clinical tasks (e.g., testing, injections, EKGs), assists with exams, and maintains exam rooms and equipment. They manage EMR updates, patient communications, referrals, authorizations, and scheduling, while handling clerical duties, troubleshooting video visits, and supporting patient portal access.

Position Qualifications:

• High School Graduate or GED required.
• A graduate of a recognized Medical Assistant Program or hold current Medical Assistant Certification by a national organization accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA) or the American National Standards Institute (ANSI).

Hourly Pay Range: $19.48 - $28.24This pay rate/range represents ChristianaCare’s good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting. The actual salary within this range offered to a successful candidate will depend on individual factors including without limitation skills, relevant experience, and qualifications as they relate to specific job requirements.
