ChristianaCare Primary Care at Elkton is seeking a professional, dependable Medical Assistant I with strong communication, integrity, and solid technical and clinical skills.

The Medical Assistant I greets and supports patients, prepares them for visits, performs basic clinical tasks, and maintains exam rooms and equipment while managing EMR updates, referrals, authorizations, and scheduling. Hourly pay range is $19.48 - $28.24, with comprehensive benefits and PTO.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of a recognized Medical Assistant Program or MA certification by a national organization (NCCA/ANSI).

Responsabilités

• Greet and support patients virtually and in person. Prepare patients for visits. Perform basic clinical tasks (testing, injections, EKGs) and assist with exams.
• Manage EMR updates, patient communications, referrals and authorizations, scheduling, and clerical duties; troubleshoot video visits and support patient portal access.

Primary Care at Elkton is located in Elkton, Maryland. Primary Care at Elkton provides comprehensive family care through a team of clinicians, including primary care doctors and nurse practitioners, who work closely with ChristianaCare specialists. They offer a range of services, including preventive care, diagnosis and treatment of common illnesses, chronic disease management, and sick visits and acute care. Elkton caters to children and adults at all life stages, ensuring a comprehensive and supportive approach to healthcare.

Work Schedule

• Monday: 7am - 7pm
• Tuesday through Friday: 8am - 5pm
• No weekends or holidays

Duties / Responsibilities

Position Qualifications

• High School Graduate or GED required.
• A graduate of a recognized Medical Assistant Program or hold current Medical Assistant Certification by a national organization accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA) or the American National Standards Institute (ANSI).

Hourly Pay Range: $19.48 - $28.24

This pay rate/range represents ChristianaCare’s good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting. The actual salary within this range offered to a successful candidate will depend on individual factors including without limitation skills, relevant experience, and qualifications as they relate to specific job requirements.
