Job summary

ChristianaCare Multispecialty Practices at Elkton is seeking a Casual Medical Assistant I to support physicians in both virtual and on-site patient care. You will perform basic clinical tasks, assist with exams, and help maintain clean, equipped exam rooms.

The position offers a Monday–Friday 8:00 am–4:30 pm schedule with one additional 8-hour shift weekly and competitive hourly pay. A High School diploma or GED and MA certification or program completion are required, with EMR familiarity and

Responsibilities

• Greet and support patients virtually and in person.
• Prepare patients for visits and perform basic clinical tasks (testing, injections, EKGs).
• Assist with exams and maintain exam rooms and equipment.
• Manage EMR updates, patient communications, referrals, authorizations, and scheduling.

As a Medical Assistant I, you support physicians in virtual and on-site patient care, performing essential clinical and clerical duties to ensure quality care.

Work Schedule:

• Monday through Friday: 8am to 4:30pm

Duties / Responsibilities:

The Medical Assistant I greets and supports patients virtually and in person, prepares them for visits, performs basic clinical tasks (e.g., testing, injections, EKGs), assists with exams, and maintains exam rooms and equipment. They manage EMR updates, patient communications, referrals, authorizations, and scheduling, while handling clerical duties, troubleshooting video visits, and supporting patient portal access.

Position Qualifications:

• High School Graduate or GED required.
• A graduate of a recognized Medical Assistant Program or hold current Medical Assistant Certification by a national organization accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA) or the American National Standards Institute (ANSI).

Hourly Pay Range: $19.48 - $28.24This pay rate/range represents ChristianaCare's good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting. The actual salary within this range offered to a successful candidate will depend on individual factors including without limitation skills, relevant experience, and qualifications as they relate to specific job requirements.
