Job summary

UPMC in Lock Haven is seeking a Casual Licensed Practical Nurse to join the Outpatient Emergency Department. The LPN will provide nursing care under supervision, perform IV therapy as trained, and participate in planning and evaluation of patient care.

This role requires completion of a state-approved Practical Nursing program and active LPN licensure, with BLS/CPR certification. Casual shifts include nights and weekends with a holiday commitment; a variety of flexible options may be available.

Qualifications

• Completion of a state-approved Practical Nursing Program.
• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) licensure in good standing.
• IV therapy training or curriculum completed.

Responsibilities

• Act as a member of the health-care team by exercising nursing judgment under supervision.
• Provide care and IV therapy as trained following guidelines and regulations.
• Participate in planning, implementation and evaluation of nursing care; communicate with care team.
• Maintain documentation and ensure patient safety and quality care.
