Darlington Borough Council is recruiting a Casual Control Centre Operator to join the CCTV department within Community Safety. The role involves monitoring CCTV and related systems, Lifeline, access control, and alarm systems in a 24/7 control room.
You must hold an SIA Public Space Surveillance CCTV Licence (or obtain it soon after joining) and pass a standard DBS check. Shifts are casual and may require working any listed times.

Darlington Borough Council are seeking to recruit a Casual Control Centre Operator to work in the CCTV department within Community Safety.
You will join a professional control room team at a state-of-the-art control room overseeing a range of systems including CCTV, Lifeline call handling, access control, remote monitoring and alarm systems.
Flexibility to working hours and duties is essential, along with a positive and enthusiastic approach. You must have the ability to work to a high standard, follow instruction, and have confidence in all you do.
You will need an SIA Public Space Surveillance CCTV Licence (Or obtain the licence within a reasonable timescale of commencing the post, training to be provided). Please note this post also requires a Standard DBS check.
The Control Centre operates 24/7 to cover this our team work on a three shift bases 06:00 - 14:00hrs, 14:00 - 22:00hrs and 22:00 - 06:00.
This role involves casual shifts and requires flexibility to work any of the above shift patterns to meet operational needs as they arise.
