Job summary

Nebraska Methodist Health System in Fremont, NE is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support the pharmacy department under pharmacist supervision. The role includes triaging medication requests, preparing parenteral admixtures, and handling controlled substances within Cerner-based workflows.

You will assist with unit dose operations, Omnicell, and pharmacy equipment, while upholding patient confidentiality and delivering high-quality service to the healthcare team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Age at least 18 with no drug or alcohol convictions.
• Some hospital pharmacy experience preferred.
• Registration as Pharmacy Technician in NE (RPHT.NE) or CPHT IA at start of employment.
• CPHT required within 12 months of registration.
• AHA/Red Cross BLS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Triage medication requests and prioritize orders.
• Manufacture, package and label drug products.
• Perform aseptic compounding of parenteral admixtures.
• Operate drug distribution systems and Omnicell workflow.
• Assist in training new pharmacy staff and maintain patient confidentiality.
