Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Casual Security Operation Dispatcher in the Williamsburg area of Virginia. This role requires 24/7 coverage including weekends and holidays. You will operate radio/phone consoles, assess emergencies, and dispatch police, fire, medical, and other personnel as needed.

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, strong communication and multitasking skills, and US citizenship. The position offers a varied shift pattern with benefits described in the posting.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Operate two-way radio and telephone consoles to receive calls for assistance and dispatch units.
• Interview callers to determine problem type, personnel and equipment needed, and available units.
• Provide basic EMT instructions before responders arrive when needed.
• Monitor alarm signals and accurately dispatch responding units.
• Input commands to update logs, test equipment, and maintain system readiness.
• Maintain SOPs, prepare daily reports, and support site Security and Emergency Services.
