Job summary
Boom Supersonic is developing a new casting unit for its supersonic jet engine program, inviting hands-on leadership during commissioning and the first heats. You will review equipment specs, lead rigging and installation, and write initial melt procedures while ensuring safety and quality.

Qualifications
- 5+ years hands-on foundry or melt shop experience, including pouring heats.
- Experience with nickel/cobalt superalloys or similar materials.
- Solid mechanical craft and tool-handling skills.
- Fluent knowledge of utilities feeding a furnace (power, cooling, inert gas).
- Strong molten-metal safety understanding and interlock concepts.
Responsibilities
- Guide buildout of casting unit from concept to first heat.
- Perform layout reviews, vendor engagement, installation, commissioning.
- Write and validate first melt/pour procedures and maintenance plans.
- Operate melt and pour with careful documentation and safety focus.
- Collaborate with engineers and technicians to address issues early.
