Job summary

Boom Supersonic is seeking a versatile Advanced Manufacturing Technician to fabricate and finish parts across multiple processes, from additive to casting and heat treatment. You will work closely with Advanced Process engineers to bring rough concepts into tangible hardware, iterating quickly while prioritizing safety and documentation.

You will set up development trials, capture results, and help improve processes.

Qualifications

• Hands-on fabrication or lab experience across more than one domain (machining, welding, additive, casting, composites, heat treat, assembly).
• Track record of self-education for new machines and processes.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and CAD; connect design intent to manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate, build, and finish real parts across multiple processes (additive, casting, heat treatment, lab work).
• Collaborate with Advanced Process engineers to turn concepts into hardware quickly and iteratively.
• Set up and run development trials, document results, and drive process improvements.
• Handle materials safely (powder, wax, ceramic, hot metal, chemicals).
• Perform routine cleaning, maintenance, and troubleshooting on equipment.
• Help organize labs/shop areas, tooling, consumables, and work instructions.
