Hydro Extrusion USA, LLC in Yankton, SD is hiring for an on-site production role in the Casthouse B Days department. You will operate forklifts and related equipment, band logs, and support furnaces in a 7pm–7am or 6pm–6am 4x4 shift pattern. The role demands reliability, safety, and teamwork.

Hourly rate

$22/hr.
$500 Sign-on bonus
+$1/hour for night shift differential
Eligible for monthly profit sharing.(With profit sharing, earnings can increase by ~$1.50-$3.00/hour.)

Shift available and hours

7pm-7am, 4x4 schedule
6pm-6am, 4x4 schedule

What you will be doing

• Help pit crew start and end drops.
• Operate mobile equipment (forklift, skid loader, sweeper, overhead crane) to move logs.
• Use mechanical or air bander to band logs into bundles and accurately mark (heat number, alloy, length, and weight).
• Operate and move homogenizers. Fill out homogenizer charts correctly.
• Help pit crew with unplugging and plugging of furnaces.
• Learn to operate log saw and help furnace operators when needed.
• Properly fill out paperwork for recording of logs and inspection reports.
