Job summary

Jackpot Junction Casino Hotel is seeking a friendly and energetic server to provide attentive dining room service in a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for seating guests, taking orders, and delivering food and beverages with a focus on hospitality and accuracy.

Responsibilities include using Micros for payments, maintaining cleanliness, suggesting menu items, and ensuring guests have a positive experience from seating to departure.

Qualifications

• Prior service experience preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong point-of-sales computer skills.
• Knowledge of suggestive sales techniques.
• Knowledge of menu and bar selections.
• Able to work well under stress and maintain a warm, energetic demeanor.
• Maintain a neat, professional appearance and flexible schedule.

Responsibilities

• Recognize guests within one minute of seating and attend to tables during peak hours.
• Handle all tables satisfactorily at all times, including peak periods.
• Utilize proper tray service and maintain safety standards.
• Collect payments using the Micros system.
• Engage in light food preparation as needed and perform daily side work.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of dining and service areas.
• Thank guests upon departure and invite them to return.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
