Job Description

The Encore Boston Harbor Bar Porter is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation in bar and cocktail areas before, during, and after guest service. This includes supporting departmental goals, adhering to standards, and ensuring excellent guest and team member experiences.

Job Responsibilities

1. Ensure all company values and standards are upheld.
2. Participate in departmental goals, monitor effectiveness, and suggest improvements.
3. Maintain confidentiality, accuracy, and thoroughness in policies and procedures.
4. Enforce internal policies, laws, and regulations.
5. Deliver high levels of service and satisfaction.
6. Contribute to communication and best practices across the company.
7. Stay informed of departmental developments.
8. Manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines under pressure.
9. Assist with collecting and transporting soiled glassware.
10. Polish glassware and clean bar equipment and decor.
11. Empty trash and linen containers, clean surfaces and floors.
12. Communicate courteously with guests and colleagues.
13. Report issues and participate in meetings.
14. Prepare materials and clean work area.
15. Follow safety standards and continue industry education.
16. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Requirements: 21+ years old, Massachusetts Gaming License, ServSafe certification preferred, high school diploma or equivalent, 6+ months related experience, strong organizational and interpersonal skills, knowledge of chemicals and OSHA guidelines, and physical ability to lift at least 50 pounds.

Skills: Ability to read, interpret documents, communicate effectively, perform basic math, and adapt to a dynamic work environment.

Work Environment

• Moderate noise, louder in certain areas.
• Varying schedules due to industry needs.
