Job summary

Caesars New Orleans Casino & Hotel is seeking a Security Officer to protect guests, team members, and assets while maintaining a safe, entertaining environment. You will patrol, screen for safety, handle monetary transactions in accordance with regulations, and respond to emergencies with professionalism.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, 1 year of security experience preferred, and the ability to obtain a Louisiana Gaming License.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED, or comparable experience preferred.
• Good oral and written communication skills including tact when dealing with difficult customers; must read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work in a flexible schedule; must allow for changes in assignments, and priorities depending on identified needs of the company.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Must be able to obtain or possess a Louisiana Gaming License.

Responsibilities

• Maintains an upbeat and positive attitude, creates positive energy with gestures and sustains enthusiasm from one interaction to the next.
• Creates an atmosphere of luck and celebrates guest’s wins.
• Checks for satisfaction and effectively resolves service breakdowns when they exist.
• Responsible for maintaining security protection on property, including money transactions and dispatch functions, when necessary.
• Check IDs to ensure guests are at least 21 years old.
• Patrols assigned areas and assists guests while monitoring for suspicious activity, violations, or safety hazards.
• Responds to security concerns promptly and maintains composure in stressful situations.
• Provides medical attention in emergency situations to guests.
