Job summary

Churchill Downs Incorporated's Calder Casino in Miami Gardens is seeking a motivated warehouse Receiving Clerk to help coordinate receipts and shipments. You will inspect items, verify quantities against orders, and route goods to designated departments, working closely with Purchasing and F&B teams.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year in warehouse receiving, a high school diploma or GED, and proficiency with Word/Excel.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED preferred.
At least 1 year of warehouse receiving experience.
Proficient in Word, Excel and data-entry software; able to format documents and analyze data.

Responsibilities

Receives and inspects goods for all departments, verifies quantities against purchase orders and invoices.
Records receiving information in the system and forwards packing slips and receipts to the Purchasing Manager.
Determines economical shipping methods, applies labels, packages shipments, and maintains a log of mail and shipments.
Coordinates damage claims and shortages with carriers and vendors; routes items to appropriate departments.
Delivers received products to storage areas and outlets; helps maintain Food & Beverage inventory.
Assists in recording purchasing journals for food, beverages, and related items.
Maintains knowledge to operate warehouse equipment (pallet jacks, hand trucks).
Handles mail distribution and duties as assigned by the Purchasing Manager.
