Job summary

Boyd Gaming is seeking a Kitchen Steward to support our busy kitchen operations. The Dishwasher will maintain sanitation levels, assist in training staff on safety, and ensure proper handling of chemicals and equipment while working with the Steward team.

This role requires physical activity, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and a commitment to guest service in Boyd Style. Candidates should have at least one year of kitchen cleaning experience and pass background, drug, and alcohol screenings.

Qualifications

• 1 year kitchen cleaning experience
• Flexible to work any day or shift
• Familiar with handling cleaning chemicals and compounds
• Familiar with cleaning of kitchen equipment
• Ability to complete Serve Safe training
• Possession of, and ability to obtain and maintain a valid driver and gaming license
• Must pass background check
• Must pass alcohol and drug screening
• Must be 18 years of age
• Delivers superior guest service in Boyd Style

Responsibilities

• Maintain sanitation levels throughout the shift.
• Significant physical activity including standing, crouching, kneeling, stooping and overhead reaching.
• Comprehend product labeling instructions for safe use of products.
• Maintain inventory of supplies.
• Ensure cleanliness of floors, walls, dishes, pots, etc.
• Use Wet Floor signs and markers as required.
• Provide proper equipment to kitchen staff (gloves, goggles, chemicals).
• Ensure equipment functions properly.
• Project a professional image at all times.
• Assist in training kitchen workers in safety practices.
• Train kitchen personnel on chemical usage and safety.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety standards set by Ameristar Casino St. Charles and Health Department.
• Lift or move up to 50 lbs as needed.
